John Maxwell - “Oh, Mr. Faulkner, Do You Write?”

“Oh, Mr. Faulkner, Do You Write?” is a one-man show based on the life of William Faulkner.  Classic Southern storyteller John Maxwell has toured with this very funny and deeply moving production for more than twenty years to 12 foreign countries and across most of the United States.

Included are recollections of Mr. Faulkner’s days in Hollywood writing screenplays for Clark Gable and Howard Hawks; stories about his family that are both hilarious and touching, an amusing and highly insightful Q-and-A session with an imaginary English class, and much more. The production ends with a wonderful offering of The Nobel Prize acceptance speech he delivered at Stockholm. It’s a powerful evening of theater and literature, entertainment and enlightenment!
